For many years, Netflix had a reputation for being secretive regarding its user base. However, in mid-November, Netflix introduced a website that posts charts of its most popular episodes and movies from the previous week and a global list of its all-time most popular titles. This was after a few years of falling stats for some of its content.
Every Tuesday, the organization publishes its weekly "Top 10 on Netflix" based on the number of hours viewed of both original and licensed programs from Monday to Sunday of the previous week. The lists are divided into the top 10 charts for English-language movies, English-language TV shows, foreign-language movies, and foreign-language TV shows.
Here is a list of the top 10 Netflix series this week.
1. Wednesday
The Addams Family character Wednesday Addams serves as the inspiration for Wednesday, an American coming-of-age supernatural comic horror television series. Jenna Ortega plays the title role in this Alfred Gough and Miles Millar production, with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Fred Armisen, and Christina Ricci serving as the film's supporting cast. Tim Burton is the executive producer and director of four of the eight episodes. The titular character, who tries to uncover a monstrous mystery at her school, is at the story's center.

The epic period mystery-science fiction television series 1899 was produced by Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar in many languages. On November 17, 2022, Netflix aired the first episode. It has received mainly favorable reviews from critics, with compliments for its acting, directing, cinematography, and casting; however, some have criticized its tempo as being too slow.
3. Firefly Lane
The American drama web series Firefly Lane was created by Maggie Friedman for Netflix. The series is based on the same-titled book by Kristin Hannah. The show started on February 3, 2021, and it follows the lives of two teenage girls from the 1970s through to the early 2000s when they become adults. In May 2021, a second season of the program was announced. The second season, which would feature 16 episodes split into two parts, would have been the show's final one, it was revealed in October 2022. On December 2, 2022, the first episode of the second season aired, and on June 8, 2023, the second episode is expected to premiere.
4. The Crown
this series is about Queen Elizabeth II's reign. It was made by Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television. Morgan created it based on his drama movie The Queen (2006), particularly his theatrical play The Audience (2013). The first season spans the years from 1947, when Elizabeth married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, through 1955, when Princess Margaret's engagement to Group Captain Peter Townsend fell off. The second season spans the years 1956's Suez Crisis, Harold Macmillan's resignation as prime minister in 1963, and Prince Edward's birth in 1964. The third season, which spans the years 1964 to 1977, features both of Harold Wilson's prime ministerships and introduces Camilla Shand. The fourth season, which spans the years 1979 to 1990, depicts the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer as well as Margaret Thatcher's time as prime minister. The fifth covers the separation of Charles and Diana as well as John Major's tenure as prime minister from 1991 to 1997.
5. The Texas Killing Fields
The Texas Killing Fields is a Jessica Dimmock-directed limited Netflix docuseries that aired in 2022. The Crime Scene documentary series, which also includes Crime Scene: The unsolved killings of four women in Texas in the 1980s and 1990s is the focus of the true-crime series, which is set in League City, Texas, and is known as the "Texas Killing Fields."
